Today, we celebrate the 70th birthday of Bruce Springsteen, who taught me that it’s okay to let them see you sweat. In the words of Bruce’s mighty mom, “lace up your dancing shoes, and get to work.” In other words: chin up.
“Let go.” I must’ve heard this a dozen times yesterday. Knowing when to step aside, and how to do it graciously, might be the hardest human thing. Sometimes holding on is persistence, and sometimes it’s stubbornness. Chin up.
